The Glue is a bonus-item that is based onHumbrol@#169 's tubes of plastic modelling glue. In the mission mode the glue is an important item, being your primary or secondary target, and it is always a helpful item who repairs your aircraft with 10 health percents and adds 250 points to your score. It may be pre-placed around in the areas, or it will spawn as special pickups from defeated enemies or from breakable items when they are destroyed.
You will often find 1 or more tubes of glue in a mission, even if its not part of the mission.
